The Framing Begins (Almost)

Wood Pile

Well, the framers aren't onsite yet, but the wood showed up ;-)

We wanted to use FSC certified framing and truss wood, even though it is not required in the LEED for homes standard (only tropical wood must be FSC certified in the LEED standards). However, FSC certified local pine is 60% more expensive than "regular wood". Needless to say, we went with the "regular wood".

The framers should be onsite tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning. Since we couldn't allow them to begin working on Monday (when we were pouring the concrete), they went on to work another job, which I certainly understand.

More Wood

More wood.
